DAY 1: Beginning Your South Island Adventure
Location: Arrive Christchurch

On arrival into Christchurch you will be met by Alpine Luxury Tours who will transfer you to your luxury accommodation. Unlike ordinary tours, this will be more than just a place to rest your head. A historic precinct nestled between Lake Hayes and the base of the Crown Range Arrowtown is a haven for history fans, art fanatics, fashionistas and foodies alike. DAY 5: Marvellous Milford Sound
Locations: Queenstown - Milford Sound - Queenstown
Highlight: Exploring the eighth wonder of the world
Dubbed the “eighth wonder of the world” by many a day at Milford Sound is one that you’ll never forget. Famous the world over for it’s uniquely remote and extraordinary beauty it is one of New Zealand’s most well-known attracts and for good reason.
This pristine corner of the Fiordland National Park will wow you with it’s wilderness and see you basking in scenery so beautiful you’ll never want to leave. Explore by helicopter, private plane or set sail on a boat cruise to get amongst the sounds native dolphins, seal colonies and penguins. Home to three of New Zealand’s great walks the region also offers hiking options if activity is what you seek.
End the day with a restorative dinner at Queenstown’s prize restaurant – Rātā. Tucked beneath an urban forest of native trees, surrounded by some of the regions most historic buildings this fine-dining establishment is know for it’s inspired menu and impeccable service.
6: Majestic Mt Cook
Locations: Queenstown - Mt Cook
Highlights: Soaring above the most majestic mountains in New Zealand and hike the Hooker Valley
Wave goodbye to Queenstown and it’s surrounding lakes as you soar north to Mount Cook. Enjoy a scenic drive that will see you meandering through some of New Zealand’s stunning scenery. Your home from home for the evening is the marvellous Mt Cook Lakeside Retreat, nestled within the myriad of majestic mountains and forest wilderness that surrounds Lake Pukaki.
Aoraki Mount Cook National Park is right on your doorstep and with helipads on site taking off to explore New Zealand’s highest peak (known for it’s harsh remoteness) couldn’t be easier. Ascend high into the Southern Alps and enjoy the unique feeling of calm as you take in the mind-blowing beauty. Depending on the time of year, hiking this region, following in the footsteps of famous Sir Edmund Hillary is a must-do.
Day 7: The End Of This Chapter
Locations: Mt Cook - Christchurch
Highlight: Your last taste of New Zealand – or will it be?
It might be the last day of the tour but there is certainly no need to rush off. Start the day with a coffee and organic breakfast sourced from the gardens of the lodge. Dip into free-range eggs, or Manuka honey (if you prefer) and enjoy homegrown berries, herbs and vegetables from the onsite garden.
Your journey back to Christchurch will be one you’ll most certainly enjoy, either by helicopter or road, the scenery will not disappoint. As you return to catch your evening flight that day, we’ll be sad to see you go and we suspect you might be just as sad to leave. But remember, what might seem like the end of your epic New Zealand adventure, we are sure will only be the beginning!
