Your adventure begins when you’re picked up and transported to the beautiful Grant family Bee Farm in the comfort of your own private Mercedes vehicle.
Indulge in a honey tasting experience and enjoy a selection of five artisan honeys from different parts of New Zealand, including local raw honey and premium manuka honey. Uncover the rich history of the region, its diverse flora, and unique geography, and get up close and personal with these industrious bees in their large see-through observation hive.
You can then choose one of three hands-on private experiences with a bee keeper. Make your own beeswax candles and honey soap, spin and bottle your own honey to take home with you. Or climb into your own protective bee suit and experience what it’s like to be a beekepper (occasionally unavailable during colder months as the hive can’t be opened).
Your personal guide will then transport you through picturesque Queenstown landscapes to the Gibbston Valley wine region – known as the ‘Valley of the Vines’ — furthermore for an afternoon of relaxation and indulgence. Nestled between rugged schist mountains and the rocky Kawarau River gorge, the region is renowned for world-class Pinot Noir and breathtaking vistas.
Following this guests on half day tours will then begin the scenic drive back to Queenstown. Those on full day tours will continue to visit some of the best wineries and cellar doors in the region. Where they can sample diverse tasting lists, indulge in a winery lunch or sit back to enjoy an artisanal cheese board.
