Upon being picked up from your accommodation, sit back and enjoy one of the world’s most scenic vineyard journeys as your personal guide transports you through the picturesque Kawarau Gorge in the comfort of your own private Mercedes vehicle.
Your driver will first take you to Bannockburn, the heart of the Central Otago wine region. Visit the charming town centre before indulging in a wine tasting at one of the region’s top wineries, Mt Difficulty, perched high on the famed Felton Road.
Enjoy lunch at a winery restaurant with dramatic views across Lake Dunstan and the Cromwell Basin, you have the option of selections from their locally-sourced menu to enjoy with your choice of wine, or a decadent cheese board with the chef’s selection of local cheese and artisan accompaniments before continuing our adventure.
Next, we arrive at the multi-award-winning Cloudy Bay winery for a private 45-minute tasting in the exclusive Lakeview Room. Enjoy this unique opportunity to meet the people behind the wine, and delve into their fascinating winemaking philosophy. Here we have the option to add a private vineyard tour or extended two-hour wine tasting for those who would like a fully immersive experience.
Next we venture into Gibbston wine region, known as the ‘Valley of the Vines’. Nestled between rugged schist mountains and the rocky Kawarau River gorge, you will sample more world-class Pinot Noir before enjoying a scenic drive back towards Queenstown.

Carrick Winery Lunch
Enjoy delicious food and wine whilst overlooking the stunning Bannockburn Inlet from our restaurant. The seasonal menu showcases the best local produce and organic ingredients fresh from our garden.
Mt Rosa
A relaxed, rural setting nestled amidst rows of vines, surrounded by mountains and hillsides dotted with wild herbs and dramatic mountain landscapes is what you’ll experience at Mt Rosa. Delicious locally sourced fare to complement the wines and the views…and the good jokes!
