Mt. Difficulty winery and private tour of other locations Private Mercedes driven SUV to Mt. Difficulty winery with stops before and after. Great driver, Al, who knew many fun facts about the trip. We crossed the Remarkable Mountains and stopped at various scenic overlooks, the Cardona Hotel for coffee, t. Difficulty Vineyard for a wine tasting and pre-arranged lunch and then back to Queenstown via another route through Arrowtown and a stop at a former gold mine site. Jet boat ride and a private tour with hiking. Trevor was our guide — we did a day tour to Glen Orchy and a jet boat ride up the dart river and then a trip to Arrowtown and some hiking. Milford Sounds From the moment we booked, Lee and Shalaka were fantastic — clear, responsive, and flexible. When avalanches forced a change of dates, Shalaka kept us informed and made everything seamless. Our private Milford Sound day trip was the absolute highlight of our time in New Zealand. Simon, our driver, was outstanding — professional, knowledgeable, and friendly — making the long journey comfortable and stress-free. He shared great insights, stopped at stunning viewpoints (including hidden gems we’d never have found ourselves), and gave us plenty of time to enjoy the scenery. Milford Sound itself was breathtaking, both on the road in and on the cruise. Traveling with our son and his girlfriend, it was the perfect day for all of us. What dreams are made of! This was a day I will never forget! Truly one of the most magical "pinch me" days from our trip. Once in a lifetime dream come true New Zealand had been on my bucketlist for years, however I never could have imaged just how incredible my trip there would be. I feel absolutely blessed to have had my once in a lifetime adventure in South Island, NZ planned and handled by Alpine Luxury Tours. Alpine Luxury Tours provided my group with an epic itinerary and attention to every detail with so many special touches to make the time spent together even more memorable and incredible. I'll forever be grateful for a day of helicoptering (felt incredibly safe with talented and calm pilots) around South Island, seeing the beauty of Queenstown from above, before landing at Mildford Sound and experiencing the 8th Wonder of the World by private yacht. Another highlight was helicoptering to Tasmin Glavier and ice hiking before being taken via helicopter to our accommodations for the night. So many things about my trip with Alpine Luxury Tours was beyond anything I could have imagined. Our experience was all-encompassing including hikes in the most beautiful landscapes, with narration by Lee (a native New Zealander) who was able to answer every question I asked, to e-biking along the countryside, arriving at a spot to bungee jump/zip line, to experiencing a shot over jet adventure - every day was action packed! Lee and Alpine Luxury Tours arranged a relaxing and beautiful day of touring beautiful vineyards where we enjoyed tasty lunches and smooth wines and a night enjoying Lake Wakatipu on a Steamship Cruise. I cannot say enough about Alpine Luxury Tours and I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone planning a trip to New Zealand. Week of adventure around Queenstown! I wish I could give Alpine Luxury Tours more than 5 stars. Lee was with us for a full week of adventures. He is knowledgeable about the history and has a passion for his home like no other! I have already told everyone I know if you go to Queenstown highly consider booking with him and Alpine Luxury Tours. They take great care of you especially if you have any fears (helicopters)! A great day out. My brother and I have just done the Queenstown and surrounds tour with Dani. A brilliant day out taking in some superb scenic lookouts, lots of history, super eating, drinking and shopping as well as wine tasting to round off the day. Dani was great company and hugely accommodating and informative. Would definitely recommend! And I’ve not used the word ‘lovely’ (until now😉)
