Royalburn Farm Station is owned by Carlos Bagrie and Nadia Lim. Situated between Arrowtown and Wanaka on the high altitude Crown Range Terrace it covers 1,200 hectares of high country farmland, with a spectacular mountain backdrop.
The history of the farm began in the late 1800’s growing grains on the rich, fertile soil and enduring the harsh winters of this region. Since then Royalburn has diversified into not only grains, lamb and free-range hens but also beehives and a market garden boasting organic produce. Today is it a recognised leader in regenerative and ethical farming.
Carlos, Nadia and the team are passionate about the Royalburn experience. On your tour you will experience real farm life. As you explore you will learn about the livestock, the sunflowers and grain, you can visit the hen house and the organic market garden. This is a truly personal, immersive experience.
After your guided farm tour, you will be treated to an award-winning wine tasting experience with Mora Wines. The Mora cellar door host will meet you on-site at Royalburn and offer selected wines for you to taste, while you continue to enjoy the beautiful farm location.
Mora’s premium Central Otago wine range offers Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Bubbles and Rosé, each with unique characteristics. Learn about how and where each wine is made, the winemaker, and the story behind Mora Wines. This tasting can be tailored to suit your needs and the knowledgeable cellar door staff are there to provide a truly remarkable experience.
Enjoy a farm-to-plate lunch cooked by a private chef at Prohibition House, an old restored cottage on Royalburn Station dating from the 1920’s – BBQ’d meats, locally grown salads and veges, fresh baked breads, charcuterie, and dessert. Prohibition House offers a secluded, intimate experience with incredible rural views.
