Begin your Paradise Wilderness Experience in Queenstown with a personal pick up from your driver/guide and luxury private vehicle. Then enjoy a picturesque drive to the charming settlement of Glenorchy, nestled at the head of Lake Wakatipu, with the opportunity to stop for photos of the mountain scenery. From here, you will take to the skies on a breathtaking helicopter flight over the shimmering lake and the dramatic landscapes of the Dart and Rees Valleys.
Touching down in the remote Earnslaw Burn, you’ll embark on a stunning guided hike through the pristine native terrain, making your way toward towering waterfalls cascading down sheer rock faces. Learn about the rich local history, flora and fauna, and keep an eye out for wildlife as we ascend towards the head of the valley. This is a truly awe-inspiring place, in the heart of Mount Aspiring National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Your private helicopter will then whisk you back to the Paradise Basin, with a landing on the riverbank of the Dart River. Here, your private Dart River jet boat driver/guide will meet you for a jet boat experience. This thrilling ride takes you deep into the glacier-fed waters and braided channels of the Dart River, surrounded by some of New Zealand’s most breathtaking alpine scenery in Mt Aspiring National Park. Along the way, your expert guide will share captivating stories of the region’s rich history and the legends of the indigenous Māori.
After arriving back in Glenorchy, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at the beloved Miss Woolly’s. Finally, unwind with a scenic drive back along the spectacular Glenorchy to Queenstown Road, full of memories of this unforgettable day.
