Enjoy a spectacular scenic drive as we head towards Glenorchy. Recognised as “one of the most beautiful drives in the world”, the road hugs the turquoise shores of Lake Wakatipu as it winds through valleys and around mountain peaks.
Relax in the comfort of your own private Mercedes Vehicle and enjoy the flexibility of stopping wherever and whenever you like for photo opportunities or rest stops.
We stop at the famous Bennett’s Bluff Lookout for sweeping views across Lake Wakatipu before visiting the iconic Glenorchy Shed.
You embark on the exhilarating Dart River jet boat venturing deep into the world-renowned Mount Aspiring National Park. You’ll enjoy a unique combination of breathtaking landscapes and a thrilling ride as we explore the braided, glacier-fed Dart River. Your guide will talk you through the region’s rich history and indigenous Māori legends before we disembark to wander amongst ancient beech forests – a hidden location you may recognise from The Lord of the Rings films.
Depart from the Glenorchy Airstrip, Enjoy an unforgettable Heli picnic Lunch surrounded by the numerous waterfalls and dramatic glacier. Take time to capture photos and explore behind the waterfalls to dip your toes into the icy water if you wish.
Heading back along the stunning Glenorchy Road, we take a leisurely stroll around beautiful and historic Bob’s Cove before making the journey back to Queenstown.
